Do you want to be a good player? Ask a legend!

Many people agreed the fact that Michael Jordan is the best basketball player in history, and had a great impact on the game. So, what can we learn from this legend? And what were his principles concerning basketball? Today we prepared for you a list of MJ's quotes that can definitely help you push your game to the next level.

If you accept the expectations of others, especially negative ones, then you never will change the outcome.

If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying.

Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.

Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation.

Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game.

Yet he left the court, we still consider him as one of the best(maybe the best as some people say).

Three movies you must watch about basketball.

In our contemporary time, there is a lot of basketball movies, most of these films are good and will help you push your game to the next level. However, as you don't have time to watch them all, the question is, what are the best of these movies?
Today, we'll show the three movies that we think are the best, these films will not only open  your eyes about some basketball's fundamentals, but will also get you motivated.

White men can't jump.

Sidney Deane(Wesley Snipes) and a group of streetballers are playing a pickup basketball game. When one of the players on the other team got injured, Sidney makes his opponents to pick Billy Hoyle(Woody Harrelson), a white bystander, to take the injured guy's place, figuring he cannot play well because of his race. Billy proves to be better than Sidney, leading his team to beat Sidney's and later beats Sidney in a "Best out of five/top of the key" game.

I can't say more about this great movie, otherwise, I will be spoiling for you. This film will help you to see that you can play basketball even if nobody thinks you can, it's all about what you believe. And yes white men can jump(Say Hi to Blake Griffin).

Love & Basketball.

The film tells the story of Quincy McCall (Epps) and Monica Wright (Lathan), two next-door neighbors in Los Angeles, California who are pursuing their basketball careers before eventually falling for each other. But within a year, with both of them playing ball at USC, Quincy's relationship with his father takes an ugly turn, and it leads to a break up with Monica. Some years later, their pro careers at a crossroads, they meet again. It's time for a final game of one-on-one with high stakes.

Coach Carter.

From my humble point of view this film is the best basketball film ever! It is based on a true story.

Richmond High School basketball coach Ken Carter portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson, who made headlines in 1999 for benching his undefeated high school basketball team due to poor academic results

I won't tell more about this movie because I need you to watch it, every baller who like movies should have see this movie.

BONUS: Slam Dunk.

If you like anime, or you just want to start, this is the one I suggest you to watch.

Sakuragi Hanimichi a first-class trouble maker, who just got to Highschool where he fell in love with Haruko, a young girl passionate about basketball. Trying to impress her, he join the basketball team. He's a great jumper and has a great body for basketball, but he knows nothing about the game, that's what makes him work so hard to help his team get to the inter-high.

This anime will take you on a trip to visit all basketball basics you might forgot with time, from dribble to dunk, Hanamichi does his best to become a better player.

And you: what are your favorite movies? are they the same as us?

Become a more explosive player! (Part II)

In the first part we talked you about the importance of the strength and the flexibility to become more explosive on the court. Today, we're telling about the posture and techniques.
If you haven't read the first part yet, do it here.

The posture:

Posture is one of the most underrated points. When I talk about posture, I mean having optimal alignments to ease the transfer of power for sprinting, starting, stopping, jumping, etc.

To give you an idea, here are some indicators of poor posture:
  • Tight hip flexors.
  • Rounded upper back.
  • Rigid ankles.
  • Weak core.
  • Tight hamstrings.
If you have one of these problem, don't worry, it's easy to improve your posture. You only need to practice regular exercises.

Technique:

All we did until now is useless if you don't practice basketball regularly, and don't control the ball. Because no matter how fast you can run or how high you can jump, if you don't control the basics the ball will probably not follow you. To maximize your potential you need to:

Perfect your dribble.

It's a really wide topic, that if we would to talk about everything we would never finish. Anyway we think it's enough for now. If you like, share it. ;)

Become a more explosive player! (Part I)

Explosiveness is one of the most important things in basketball, coaches are always looking for players that can jump higher and run faster. After all, with these qualities, the player has a great advantage on his opponents.

There is a lot of different methods to develop explosiveness, from physical strength to quickness going by control and dribbling, it's a lot of work! But if you really want to be great, sorry, but there is no other way, than working hard.

Let's take a look of a few points:
