Become a more explosive player! (Part I)

Explosiveness is one of the most important things in basketball, coaches are always looking for players that can jump higher and run faster. After all, with these qualities, the player has a great advantage on his opponents.

There is a lot of different methods to develop explosiveness, from physical strength to quickness going by control and dribbling, it's a lot of work! But if you really want to be great, sorry, but there is no other way, than working hard.

Let's take a look of a few points:

Strength:

If a player improves the strength of his legs and his endurance, he will automatically generate more strength. The more strength he can apply to the ground the faster he will go. It's extremely important that the strength training be safe and effective. Otherwise you risk to hurt yourself and even your growth if you're under twenty years old.

If you think that this is too hard, you can do less reps, and do every time more than the other time. If you don't have access  to material, don't worry, it is already so effective without weight.

Warning: whatever you do, do never skip warming up, you can have serious damage!

Flexibility:

The flexibility is mostly defined by the amplitude of movement. Improving your ankles flexibility, lower back and hips can increase the player potential to be explosive. Flexibility can be enhanced by performing it before and after training.

you're not obligated to do all the exercises shown here, find what works best for you and what makes you feel really stretching, but if you can, I highly recommend you to do everything, eleven minutes are nothing compared to wounds you can have.
