What is Basketball?

Basketball or Basket-Ball is a team sport first created by James Naismith, a Canadian physical education professor.

While he was a coach in Springfield, a college in the U.S.A, he was looking to occupy his students between the Football and Baseball seasons in winter, when practicing a sport outside was difficult, he also wanted a sport where physical contacts are forbidden, so players won't get hurt.
